What are Mackley & Company's credentials as gemologists
and appraiser of gems and jewelry? Our master of gemology and appraising have the highest credentials to offer. However, there is no licensing or certification requirement in any state of the USA for gems and jewelry. One should expect formal training in both of these fields before practicing gemology or being an appraiser of gems and jewelry. Before one can appraise one must be able to identify and have the gemological equipment necessary to do such.
