& COMPANY HAS OPTIONS
We have the possibility
to offer options concerning the sale of your jewelry.
Some options might not work for either of us. We will
only offer the options that work for us and you can
then choose from those offered. There is no charge
for conversation...
and you always have the option to keep your items
and do nothing.
Below are those options:
Option 1 AUCTION – Mackley & Company is a licensed Tennessee
Auction Gallery (license #4737). You receive approximately
70% of the selling price. We’ve been doing jewelry
auctions since 1988 and online since 1996. We know jewelry
and we know jewelry auctions. Buyers come to us from all
parts of the world (primarily USA), all walks of life
and incomes.
Option 2 CONSIGNMENT
FOR RESALE – Mackley & Company
can take consignments to sell at the dealer and retail
level. Our commission rate is 30%. This option is for
those that do not need instant or rapid gratification
but are willing to wait until the item sells.
Option 3 ADVERTISEMENT – This is a way to allow the world to see what you
wish to sell. Advertise on this website in the classifieds,
and you keep your jewelry and all the inquiries are directed
to back you. The cost to advertise for a six-month term
is fifty dollars for the first item and thirty dollars
for each additional item. We reserve to right to accept
or decline your advertisement since we view the ads as
a reflection of us. There is no commission paid to us
just the ad fee upfront.
Option 4 CASH – Our cash offer is based on your product and our
view of that product in our markets. This option does
give you instant gratification. (Caution – We are
not interested to pay cash for costume jewelry or mass
market products generally sold by discount houses or television
sales.) You may want to communicate with us first to find
out if it is something you should send.
Option 5 BARTER – There is nothing like a good trade. Our only rule
is both parties must be happy at the time of barter.
Option 6 NOTHING – That’s right, there is no arm-twisting here.
It’s your decision.
TIPS - If you need instant dollars, go with option four. If
you have a little time, go with option one, two or three.
If you have lots of time, go with option two or three.
If you do not need the money try option five. If you do
not like options one through five choose option six. If
you are highly sentimental or greedy choose option three
or six.
In general, the quickest time is the least dollar and
the highest dollar is the longest time.
DECISION
TIME - OK, I've made up my mind. How do
I go about it?
1-Please
e-mail
us and let us know what you would like to do. If we
are delivered a package and we are not expecting it,
most likely, it will be refused. That would be wasted
postage on your part. Any items can be liquidated.
But if you are wanting cash only we may wish to know
more about your jewelry (and what you are expecting).
There is no charge for conversation.
2-Once
approved then you will be authorized to send your jewelry
to us. Your jewelry is insured while in our
possession. Mackley & Company's office is located

3-Make
sure you also send us your name, physical mailing address,
phone numbers (daytime preferably) and your e-mail address
and how much you have insured your jewelry. We will always
communicate back with you and get your permission before
doing anything.
